Get Involved!

There are many opportunities to get involved with your neighborhood. Some things you can do on your own like taking a walk, arranging a neighborhood party, or organizing a cleanup. You may also participate in organized efforts, committees or clubs. Listed below is a sample of volunteer opportunities that may interest you.

Town Hall Volunteers

A volunteer group of Westwood residents who help to take care of the gardens and grounds of the Westwood Town Hall. We do a major clean up about 4 times a year and ongoing tending to the gardens. Interested people should contact Peg Rhein.

The Westwood Historical Society

The purpose of the Westwood Historical Society is to discover, preserve, and share the history of Westwood. The organization is still relatively new and is developing various projects and activities for members.

Although subject to change, the Society currently holds membership meetings 9 times per year on the second Wednesday of February, March, April, May, July, September, October, November, and December. Meeting information is generally published in the Western Hills Press.

Dues are listed at only $15 per household per year.

In addition to attending meetings, members can get involved by participating in the oral history project, walking tours, home tours, doing research, writing newsletter articles, helping with meeting refreshments, and hosting open houses at the Westwood Library. New members are welcome!
